As you and your family commemorate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring the our independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain, remember there's something you can do to give back to a veteran -- and it won't cost a penny.
Many veterans are not aware of the services that are available to them through the VA Heathcare System or do not use them. As a result, many are paying for care that is available to them at the VA for little or no cost. If you know a veteran, please make sure they know what resources are available to them. There are eight VA locations in Connecticut alone. They can learn more on the Web at http://www.connecticut.va.gov/; by phone at 203-437-8138; or at any VA location. By helping them make this simple connection, you may be doing a great deed for someone who really deserves one!
